Guild Wars 2 5 months, 3 weeks agoAnyone who is also playing lotro here glad to hear they most probably will be expanding open tapping to the entire world, same as GW2, in update 9? I’m still confused about the people threatening to cancel their subscriptions over this change. I for one am very excited and relieved by the idea of more team work and less competition.

In all honesty, the description should not even be ‘open tapping’. It should just be ‘everyone get loots if you participate’. Granted, there will be those who shoot once and get full loots, but it matters less to others when they’re also getting their own loot. Guild Wars 2 6 months agoDid anyone besides me attend the event this past weekend?
The Southsun Island will be a lvl 80 zone but for the event they took everyone up to 80 so they could participate no matter the level but I must say that lvl 45 gear is no match for lvl 80 hits and I spent a lot of time, usually right under the beasts, waiting for a kindly rez.

I sort of participated Merry. And do not feel alone about being defeated…repeatedly. It was the same for me….and many others. I enjoyed the Halloween events much more. But I do look forward to the many events Anet is known for. This one just felt like same ol same ol to me. Nothing special.

There will never be an addiction like what I experienced my first 3-4 years of Lotro. GW2 is fun, engaging, and beautiful in it’s own way, but falls utterly short of the love I once had for Lotro. I could not go one day without playing!

I respect that. I love LOTRO as well, the amount of story provided by the books and creative team of the game are hard to beat.

Cool! I am on Tarnished Coast but only lvl 16, going is slow for me but I plug away. How does one do the World v World stuff? I’m not much of a pvper in LotRO and have no idea how to do it on GW2.

To join it, just press the B key on your keyboard and select one of the battlegrounds. Eternal is a free for all, and the other three are defensive lands for each server.
